Program Description and Eligibility
Details of the program and the number of awards each year are subject to funding availability.
The online application is generally opened in early March with a deadline in early April. After consultation with a faculty mentor, students initially submit the application. Faculty are then asked to review and approve the application.
This program supports about 250 hours of full-time, faculty-mentored summer research, scholarly, and creative projects conducted by undergraduate students. Each fellowship provides a $4000 student stipend and $600 for travel, supplies and/or small equipment to support the project. Summer housing for students in a Buffalo State dorm room can sometime be provided. Faculty mentors each receive a $1000 honorarium at the end of the project.
