The Undergraduate Research Office administers a variety of programs to promote and enhance opportunities for undergraduates to participate in research, scholarly activities, and creativity.
Provides up to $400 to assist students in carrying out a research project or creative activity during the academic year.
Allows students to present their preliminary and completed research and creative activities in a student-friendly and supportive environment. This annual event is one of Buffalo State’s great traditions.
Allows students to present advanced research and creative projects at a system-wide SUNY/CUNY event. SURC is held each spring at alternating campuses across New York State.
Spring 2021 ~ date/locations TBD
Supports up to eight weeks of student research, scholarly, and creative activities. Each fellowship provides a student stipend and associated support for supplies and/or equipment to support the project.
Provides support for students to attend professional meetings and conferences to give a presentation or performance.
Student conference funding restricted to non-travel expenses until further notice
The EURO program provides Buffalo State students with an early undergraduate research/scholarly/creative experience by serving as an assistant to a faculty member working on research/scholarly/creative activities.
