The Undergraduate Research Office administers a variety of programs to promote and enhance opportunities for undergraduates to participate in research, scholarly activities, and creativity.
Provides up to $400 ($600 max for group projects) to assist students in carrying out a research project or creative activity during the academic year.
Allows students to present their preliminary and completed research and creative activities in a student-friendly and supportive environment. This annual event is one of Buffalo State’s great traditions. In Spring 2025, the SRCC will be held on Friday, May 2 from 3:00-6:00 PM at Buffalo State in SAMC.
Allows students to present advanced research and creative projects at a system-wide SUNY/CUNY event. SURC is held each spring at alternating campuses across New York State.
Details on SURC 2025 are not available.
Supports up to eight weeks of student research, scholarly, and creative activities. Each fellowship provides a student stipend and associated support for supplies and/or equipment to support the project.
Provides support for students to attend professional meetings and conferences to give a presentation or performance.
The EURO program provides Buffalo State students with an early undergraduate research/scholarly/creative experience by serving as an assistant to a faculty member working on research/scholarly/creative activities.
