The Undergraduate Research Office administers a variety of programs to promote and enhance opportunities for undergraduates to participate in research, scholarly activities, and creativity.

Small Grants to Support Research, Scholarly, and Creative Activities

Provides up to $400 to assist students in carrying out their research and creative activities during the academic year; up to $600 may be requested for single projects involving two or more students.


Student Research and Creativity Conference

Allows students to present their preliminary and completed research and creative activities in a student-friendly and supportive environment. This annual event is one of Buffalo State’s great traditions.


Undergraduate Summer Research Fellowship Program

Supports eight weeks of full-time research, scholarly, and creative activities. Each fellowship provides a student stipend of $2,750, a faculty stipend of $1,000, and up to $500 for travel, supplies, and/or equipment to support the project.


Undergraduate Travel Program

Provides support for students to attend professional meetings and conferences to give a presentation or performance.
