Welcome to SUNY Buffalo State's Undergraduate Research Office.
Opened in 2003, the office is part of University College and its mission is to promote and provide students with a variety of research, scholarly, and creative opportunities in all academic disciplines.
Activities coordinated by the office include an annual student research symposium, a summer research fellowship program, small grants program to support academic year research, travel support for students presenting/performing at professional meetings and conferences, and faculty development opportunities related to undergraduate research.
Undergraduate research continues to gain momentum on campuses across the country. Buffalo State is proud to contribute its voice in conversations about effective models for integrating undergraduate research into the curriculum and evaluating the impact of undergraduate research.
I'm very proud of the diversity of disciplines, students, and mentors participating in undergraduate research. Our culture at Buffalo State greatly values faculty members working with students, and you see these important interactions happening in every department. That kind of broad-based support gives our program its stability and high level of interest.
